31. My Near-Death Experience Explained with my husband Matt Dorsey

from The Woo Report: Mapping woo woo magic · host Laura Scarpati

It's the 5 year anniversary of my near-death experience. When I got run over by a car while 18 weeks pregnant. The moment that cracked me open, transformed my life and affected those closest to me.  I. Am. So. Grateful. To. Be. Alive. In that moment I surrendered it all and accepted that this was the end. Turns out…it wasn’t. I was meant to bring Wes into the world a few months later. I was meant to watch him and Will grow to be 4 and 7. I was meant to forge new fierce friendships in a town farrrr away from everything I knew. I was meant to find more meaning and more purpose. I was meant to sift through the darkness and find the light. In this episode I recount the details of the accident and talk through what that moment and my recovery was like for my husband, Matt Dorsey.  We talk about the dark times. But today and everyday I thank all that darkness with every ounce of my being. Cause it cracked me open. It helps me show up better. I am so freaking grateful for this life! For the many many many people who scooped me up off the ground and loved me so immensely that it healed me in more ways than I can articulate. Especially my husband Matt.In this episode, we drop all the vulnerable cards on the table. By detailing my rock bottom and how we propelled our way out of it I hope you can apply some of what we learned to any darkness circling your own life.  And if it still feels impossible.  I'm here for you. Reach out.  Thank you for being part of this gift, this journey. Here’s to us. To life. To love. To miracles.
