Calvary Chapel is a non-denominational fellowship in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. The first seal in Revelation 6 is opened to reveal the rider on the white horse, carrying a bow. Most believe that this refers to Jesus, but instead it is the rise of the anti-christ. Anti- not meaning 'against' as many think, but 'in place of'. Pastor Phil also reminds us that when The Lord revealed the visions to John, he did not necessarily share them in chronological order, but instead, a quick overview, and then a more in-depth unfolding of the seal judgments. The second seal is broken in verse 3 where, as paralleled in Jesus' explanation in Matthew 24 there will be wars and rumors of wars... Let's take a look now. "When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.” Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword."
