31: SecuraCath – improving patient safety and experience

More than 100 hospital trusts in England have adopted a device that improves the experience of patients – and saves money for the NHS.SecuraCath secures central venous catheters without requiring sutures or adhesives, improving patient safety and experience.It’s been spread by the country’s 15 AHSNs through the Accelerated Access Collaborative’s Innovation and Technology Payment programme and is now supported through the Med Tech Funding Mandate.
