31. Should You Be Paying More Attention to Your Body and Less to Your Screens? — Kim Kimball

from No Fat Cats - A Podcast for Creative Teams · host Wesley Dean

How is working from home going for you?  I personally love the fact that I can be around my family more, and connect with people through video calls.  I’ve been able to attend several webinars related to topics surrounded Covid-19 and how it’s changing our business models. But several weeks into the lock down, I noticed that I was having a hard time going to sleep.  It was a bit harder to separate work from home life.  I would lie in bed for a while and was having a hard time calm down.  I think in part it was because I was spending too much time reading the news and on my computer before going to bed.  It was causing stimulating my mind, and making it so that I couldn’t get the rest I needed. But then when I started reducing my screen time before going to bed and leaving my phone to charge outside of the bedroom, I noticed that it was quite a bit easier for me to get to sleep. If you have struggled at all with any of these issues, this episode is for you.  Kim Kimball is a life coach and in this episode we talk about all of these issues.  She talk about learning to pay attention to your body and what it’s tell you.  She shares her tips for staying focused during the day and knowing when to disconnect from screens and technology. In order to thrive and not just survive during these times we all need to make sure we are aware of what our bodies are telling us in order to stay at peak performance during this season.
