When playing with Legos, do you imagine any other way that allows 2 Lego bricks to stick other than the obvious pimples-in-dimples way? When using a screwdriver, do you hold the metallic end, and use the rubber grip to tighten a screw? Do you think of sitting on an upright Coca Cola bottle, and of drinking water out of a wooden stool? No, no, no! All this is because of affordances - good affordances in design make it inconceivable for us to imagine using a tool any other way than its "meant" to be.
