317. WHO ARE "THEY" AND WHAT ARE THEY DOING?

from SURVIVING HEALTHCARE · host Robert Yoho, retired cosmetic surgeon

I have been followed by a Kaiser specialist for a “small scar” on one of my retinas. He told me reassuringly, “You have a problem, but let me worry about it for you. I will see you about once a year for follow-up.”A few days ago, I went to Costco to get some new glasses for my troubled eyes. They have almost everything, but I knew they did not have what I really needed—new eyes. He had me peer into five machines, then said, “You have moderately severe dry macular degeneration.” So, I freaked out and went into research mode.I had been using a couple of red light devices almost daily in hopes of improving my vision. I stumbled across Zaid as I was trying to determine whether they could help me.Zaid is a dude in his late 20s who has somehow already learned to write like a pro. He has better info about the sun and several other health topics than anyone I have encountered. This is one of my top interviews.Support the show
