32【Alissa】My new hobby Ukulele

I bought a ukulele 4 years ago, but it has just been collecting dust in my closet. Practicing the ukulele was one of the things I’ve been meaning to do but never got around to. Finally, I bit the bullet, and got the ball rolling. I want to play the ukulele because I want to sing. I love singing. I used to go to karaoke and just sing for 6 hours straight, but these days I don’t go often. I just sing at home while listening to music. I was always jealous of people who can play guitar and sing at the same time. I thought about playing the guitar but it seems overwhelming to learn. One day I was watching TV and a guy was singing pop music with a ukulele. Until then, I thought of the ukulele as something only used in Hawaiian music, so it was kind of mind-blowing. He said the chords are easier than that of the guitar because it only has 4 strings. It’s been three weeks since I started playing the ukulele and I’m having fun! Of course, I can’t play it smoothly yet, but it’s very satisfying to see small improvements day by day. My goal, for now, is to play a whole song.
