32. Following the Thread: Theo’s Breeder Story

Before Theo came home, someone else knew him first. In this episode, Maggie of Akoya Kennels joins Hang In There to talk about what happens in the eight weeks before a puppy ever meets his family. The conversation covers temperament testing, what it can and can’t tell us, how Theo was matched to his family, and what it means to trust someone who has been watching a litter from day one. It’s also an honest conversation about what a puppy is - and isn’t - including an update on how Theo is doing and a reflection on what dogs, especially puppies, can offer people who are healing.
