In this episode, I talk about pre cursors and their significance for you and your dog, focusing on how they impact your dog’s response to cues. For example, reaching into a treat bag is a pre cursor that signals your dog to expect something in return for a treat. However, problems arise when we’re not aware of these pre cursors and try to replicate a behavior without them, leading to frustration when our dog doesn’t respond as expected. Episode 278.
