321: The Power of Permitting Yourself NOT to be You

from I'm Perfectly Divine Podcast · host Michelle Bersell

Spiritually and physically, being in the depths of winter means going inward and tending to the seeds that will burst forth come spring. While this all sounds good and nice, what it actually feels like on the human level is being bone tired, unmotivated, and just not yourself. Recently, this showed up for me as choosing ice cream for dinner rather than my typical healthy fare. Immediately, my son's eyes lit up—and then mine did too. That's when I realized: there's a gift in not being yourself, in not following the rules you've made for yourself all the damn time. While I watched my ego wanting to jump in and judge that something was wrong with me, what I could witness instead was something actually very sacred happening when we give ourselves permission to not be our typical selves and really feel into what is right for us in the moment. In this episode, you'll discover:Why your "unproductive" days might be evidence of profound energetic shifts happening beneath your awarenessHow to witness rather than partake in the spiral the ego wants to take you on for not being the version of self you think you're supposed to beHow surrender becomes your way in to transformation rather than a sign of giving upA powerful question to uncover where your unconscious is still locked into old beliefsWhat it means to trust yourself first, before waiting for external signs to validate your pathThere is a power that you are gaining, as you can experience the unraveling of the old self.  Whether you realize it or not, you are building the skill and strength to become unattached.  The power in this, as old stories and ways of reacting fade away, is that you become freer, more open, and expressive as the real you.  This is your time to know and love yourself exactly as you are and celebrate who you are throughout the mystery of your life’s unfolding.  This is your invitation to stop resisting the season you're in, and honor the evolution of you!
