In today's episode, we are excited to have Sam Waters, Lashie Award winner, talk about her lash journey. She shares about the challenges she has faced being in a province in Canada where they are regulated as well as the difficulties in finding supplies and tools in her province. We also talk about her attempts to mentor lash artists in her community and how some push back when she offers to help. On top of this Sam talks about 911 and how the town of Gander, Newfoundland is the only 2nd city in the world with a 9/11 memorial. When 9/11 happened, 37 planes landed in this small town and the city doubled in size in 24 hours. There is a Broadway musical called "Come From Away" that tells this amazing story of a small town rising up to the challenge of caring for strangers they have never met. Sam shares how this event changed her and how she lives her life.
