Her Curandera Remedies offers products like cannabis-infused olive oils meant for sacred ceremonies, herbal teas, tinctures, henna soaps, and aromatherapy concoctions. Many of these products are inspired by ancient practices, like the hand-rolled smoke blends of rose, chamomile, and lavender. She is a former New Yorker who used to work in the fashion industry for 20 years, before she pivoted to her love of alternative healing. Josie was born into a Mexican-Cuban family rooted in the healing arts of curanderismo, shapeshifting and clairvoyance abilities (a curandera or curandero is a healer from Latin America). At an early age she was introduced to the practice of Curanderismo, in Folk Herbalism, as a way of life, where she learned herbal remedies from her yerbero Cuban father. She also studied Meditation at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center and the School of Practical Philosophy in NYC. She is a certified yoga therapist and a certified health coach.
