He focuses on two areas of research: Conceptualizations of Kindness in School; and 2) The Effects of Animal-Assisted Therapy on Students’ Well-Being. His areas of expertise include: perceptions of school kindness; social and emotional learning; homesickness, stress reduction in university students, and animal-assisted therapy (particularly canine). He has also developed the unique B.A.R.K. dog therapy program.
