Jake Watchel's Karmalink is a futuristic vision of Cambodia built on changing global powers (hint: America ain't it), a growing wealth gap and bodily modifications that augment reality without the need for a headset. In the middle of all this lies Leng Heng (Leng Heng Prak), a 13-year-old Buddhist boy who dreams of his past lives - more specifically, the golden statue of Buddha which appears in all of them.
