33. The Story of Jonah

The biblical narrative of the prophet Jonah. It begins with Jonah's initial disobedience to God's command to preach in Nineveh, leading him to flee and subsequently be swallowed by a great fish. After praying from within the fish, he is released and ultimately obeys God's directive, successfully prompting the Ninevites to repent. The narrative concludes with Jonah's displeasure at God's mercy towards Nineveh and a final exchange where God challenges Jonah's narrow perspective on compassion.
