Tales of Great Heroes 12 Upon arriving at Amazon, Hera disguised as an Amazon and told the other female warriors that the Queen had been kidnapped by a ship of pirates just now. Hercules captured Hippolita's sister Melanippe, Queen Hippolita asked for peace in exchange of her sister. Hercules had the Queen's belt and returned to Greece. The ship saw a young woman Hesione, daughter of the King of Troy Laomedon. King Troy didn't pay Poseidon and Apollo who helped build the city walls of Troy. Poseidon sent sea monster to destroy Troy. Hercules promised to help Laomedon beat the monster. Monster came. Hercules shot arrows toward monster which felt nothing. Hercules jumped into monster's big mouth when monster came. Hercules used sword to cut the inside of monster which finally lay dead at the bottom of the sea. Laomedon planned to murder Hercules that night at his palace but Hercules decided not to stay. 11.Handsome cows of ogre Geryon On submitting Hippolita's belt, King Eurytheus asked H to fetch the handsome cows of the ogre Geryon. Hercules put up 2 stone pillars at Strait Gibraltor. Hercules reached Geryon's land. H killed Geryon by shooting respectively at the three throats of G's three heads. H sailed towards Spain with a ship of handsome cows. H was attacked at Marseille by the local army. Hercules asked Zeus for help. Zeus granted H a shower of round stones to throw monster with. These round stones can still be seen today at Marseille, France. One time H was at the seven low hills of Rome. Fire-spitting monster Cacus stole H's red handsome cows. H fought with Cacus in the fire smoke caused by the monster and won. A snake woman stole H's riding horse. The snake woman asked H to kiss her three times for her to return H's own horse. H kissed the snake woman and gained his horse back. H gave snake woman his bow and bade snake woman to send her son who could master the bow to him, if not, let the son rule her land.
