335: Momocon 2025 Post Show
from Cheesy Controller Podcast Hosted by Cheesy Controller Podcast
This week on The Cheesy Controller Podcast, the crew dives headfirst into a whirlwind of gaming and pop culture news! We kick things off with Avowed updates and the surprising departure of director Carrie Patel from Obsidian—what could it mean for the game's future? Then it's off to Momocon 2025, where we break down the hype, cosplay, and anime overload. Nintendo fans take a hit as we address those ongoing 3DS issues, but there's a silver lining for mobile players: Fortnite makes its triumphant return to iOS! Meanwhile, PlayStation Stars is back in the conversation, and Randy Pitchford throws gasoline on the fire with his wild “real fans will find a way” comment. We also get deep with Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II possibly headed to PS5, Marathon’s art updates, and a spoiler-laced discussion of the The Last of Us Part II ending. CRPG lovers rejoice—Owlcat returns with a gritty, narrative-heavy Warhammer 40K: Dark Heresy RPG based on the classic 2008 TTRPG. Plus, we sail into One Piece waters (anime and manga spoilers ahead!) and close out with takes on the latest Anime Awards results. Get your cheese ready. 🎙️🧀🎮
