Join Joey and I as we catch up on a day off in Vegas for the band.  We talk about performing on shiprocked and how it was to be one of the newer bands on everyones lips, and the vibe of essentially being stuck on a boat with thousands of people. We also talk about the music business and how some of the antiquated ways are still around, like venues taking merch cuts,  solely due to people being afraid to speak up and make change happen. Joey opens up about people tripping on his voice and with the bands sound, and how gatekeepy fans are of making sure music fits into a certain box, but how there's this crop of artists pushing the boundaries of what's "metal" or not. We get into touring with legacy acts, what he's able to learn from all kinds of arts, possibly making the move to being an A&R person down the line and more in this candid chat.
