Death is no stranger to many national parks across the country. Visitors often succumb to the elements, an accident, or animal activity, or are even victims of a crime. While cases in national parks can go unsolved for decades, most of the time, investigators can typically piece together what happened due to the remote nature of the environments involved. However, that was not the case for Jordan Grider, a 29-year-old nomad who made a habit of camping in the country's most remote places. In October of 2018, he set up camp along the Sioux Hustler Trail in the Boundary Water region of northern Minnesota, extremely close to the border with Canada. Months later, in April of 2019, investigators finally found his camp in a remote region near a Beaver pond. The scene, which included torn pieces of clothing, scattered bones, and a blood-soaked sleeping bag, confuses investigators and his family to this day.
