Tales of Great Heroes 18 Hercules asked Laomedon to send him the two magic horses that he had won. Laomedon sent him ordinary horses that couldn't run like wind over land or sea. Leaving young wife Deianira in Trachis, Hercules brought Iolaus with him to find Telamon in Salamis. Telamon's young wife gave birth to a baby boy. Hercules wrapped his lion-skin cloak around the boy Ajax. Hercules brought Iolaus and Telamon to search for Laomedon. They left old man Oicles on the ship. Laomedon took the initiative to ambush Hercules's ship and killed Oicles. Laomedon shut the gate of Troy lest Hercules get in. Telamon's father had helped build the city wall of Troy. The father told Telamon there was a crack in the wall for anyone to climb in. Hercules killed everyone of the army except Laomedon's youngest son Podarces. Podarces was the only one against Laomedon's dishonesty of giving wrong horses. Hercules gave princess Hesione to Telamon. Hercules bade Hesione to take one more person to go with her to King Telamon's palace. Hesione took Podarces to go with her. Hercules asked Hesione to pay a price before he let go of Podarces who should be his slave. Thus Podarces was hence called "Priam" meaning "a price was paid for him to be free." Priam rebuilt Troy and married Hecuba, who gave birth to many sons including Hector and Paris. Upon returning to Greece, Hera cooked up her last attempt to destroy Hercules. She called for Hypnos, god of sleep and brother of death, to make Zeus sleep. When Zeus was asleep, Hera summoned a great storm to destroy the ship. Zeus woke up in time to retrieve the storm and hung Hera to the Heaven by the wrists. Zeus took Hephaestus by the leg and threw him out of Olympus and down to the island of Lemnos.
