339 - T. Graham Brown

T. Graham Brown is one of the most unique voices in country music. His most recent album “Forever Changed” has been called by some his best work yet. “Forever Changed” received a Grammy nomination for Best Roots Gospel album. If we are judged by the company we keep, T. Graham Brown is the cream of the crop. His friends in the rock, soul, country and Christian music genres all contributed their vocals to the project, a diverse list that includes Vince Gill, Jason Crabb, Leon Russell, Jeff & Sheri Easter, The Oak Ridge Boys, Steve Cropper, Booth Brothers, Three Bridges, Sonya Isaacs, and Jimmy Fortune. In addition to original songs co-written by T. Graham Brown, “Forever Changed” features interpretations of songs like the Curtis Mayfield classic, “People Get Ready” which fits perfectly in Brown’s hands. The album ends with a version of “Wine Into Water,” which deals with the topic of addiction.

In this interview, T. Graham Brown talks about his roots, the inspiration behind “Forever Changed,” the challenges he overcame and his friendship with songwriter Bruce Burch.

The Paul McGregor Podcast Paul McGregor On the 4th March 2009, my life changed forever. My Dad, the man I looked up too, the man who in my eyes had 'everything' on paper took his own life. After it happened I struggled to deal with the grief, I buried the pain and found myself asking the question 'why' over and over again. I too then found myself struggling with depression and anxiety. This Podcast is all about documenting not only my own personal journey to discovering more about mental health and suicide, but to also document other stories too. It's time to talk about mental health, it's time to give it the voice it deserves and hopefully this Podcast can provide that. Hopefully this Podcast helps show others that they're not alone...Paul McGregor is an author, lecturer, a mental health advocate, husband, Father of 2 and avid Liverpool supporter. He shares daily content, giving mental health a voice across multiple social platforms and through speaking and workshops across the UK.<p style='color:grey; THE PAUL HALME AUDIO ADVENTURE Paul Halme Business, Fitness and Fun! The Paul Salamone Podcast Paul Salamone Berlin-based comedian Paul Salamone rants about pop culture, local geography, and books he's reading while playing cheap electronic music live on a synthesizer.
