from ĀIO: a road to peace · host Tarikura Kapea

This week's episode is full power. We are joined by Chelita Kahutianui-o-te-Rangi Zainey (Waitaha; Ngāpuhi; Ngāti Kahu; Ngāti Haua; Ngāti Ruanui; Lebanese; Scottish; Irish) Through the reclamation of her whakapapa and ancestral gifts, Chelita is an established practitioner of the Māori Healing Arts including Mirimiri, Rongoā Māori, Hau Tapu Breathwork, Matakite, and Taonga Pūoro. She works as a conduit and channel for Ngā Mareikura o Waitaha – the Grandmothers of the Waitaha Nation. Chelita has been a practitioner, Teacher, Guide, and Mentor for over a decade. Chelita is a Certified Trauma Informed Breathwork Facilitator trained by Owaken Breathwork and is now traveling the world sharing her medicine. In this episode we explore Chelitas journey from discovering her matakite (clairvoyant, seer) gifts, growing up in a pākeha family and the disconnection she experienced from her culture and in turn her gifts. Chelitas shares her learnings while working in the sex industry and how that brought to light her gifts as a mentor and guide. She talks about her liberation through the darkness and the connection she found traveling through the 12 heavens (a founding spiritual concept in Te Ao Māori) which reformed her connection to her ancestors and guides.  We talk about Atua Wahine (Māori Goddesses) and various Māori healing tools and concepts. Chelita now supports people to rekindle their connection to spirit and their support team - empowering you to be your own healer.  TRIGGER WARNING - we briefly talk about childhood ritualistic abuse (about an hour and six minutes in, please listen with care)  What we cover: Ko wai koe, where do your waters descend?
