Podcast Instagram  Guest: Benjamin Cheung Benjamin's Website Benjamin Cheung is a lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia, teaching courses primarily on research methodology, social psychology, and cultural psychology. He came as a settler on unceded Musqueam territory from the former British colony of Hong Kong, and has been interested in acculturation and bicultural identity ever since. As an undergraduate student at UBC, he majored in Psychology (with an emphasis on cultural psychology), and Asian Language and Culture (with a specialization in Korean). He obtained his MA and Ph.D. at UBC, working on projects related to cultural adaptation. Understanding the intersection of cultural environment, cultural identity, and cultural experience has always been an interest of his. We are in for a treat today! We got Benjamin Cheung, super smart Ph.D on the podcast to talk about acculturation, bicultural identity, diaspora identity, and everything about being Asian in the West!
