34. Do You Need Friends At Work?

Research (and our own highly scientific personal experiences) confirm that having friends at work improves your happiness on and off the clock. We’ve been lucky to have many work friendships turn to real friendships that have outlived the job that brought us together. This week, we’re celebrating the people who make us laugh five days a week, act as our unofficial therapists, and help the workday feel a little less like work. We chat about rules for work friends, figuring out how much of your personal life to disclose at work, balancing work husbands with real life partners, and navigating friendships with your manager. ‘Tis the season, so stick around for a few tangents about our favorite Christmas cookies and the secret to great eggnog. Shout out to all work besties! May our Slack messages never see the light of day. Happy holidays, co-pilots!
