For more than a year Israel has been engaged in a defensive war against the Islamist terrorist organization Hamas in the Gaza Strip, which attacked Israel with an utmost brutality on October 7, 2023. More than a thousand people were brutally murdered. It was the most horrific massacre of Jews since the end of the Shoah. More than 200 people were taken hostage in the Gaza Strip - children, women and men, from babies to the elderly, even Holocaust survivors. Currently around 100 hostages are still being held in the Gaza Strip, an incredibly long time of more than 400 days. We are talking to Efrat Machikawa and Naama Weinberg, two relatives of hostages, about an issue that is far too often overlooked by the world public.
