3403 An Honest Conversation About Segregation - Call in Show - September 2nd, 2016

from Freedomain with Stefan Molyneux | Podcasts 3000-3499

Question 1: [2:18] – “I’ve been frequenting your videos for several months now, and really enjoying the discourses you’ve had about global politics, political correctness, economics, and feminism. You’ve mentioned several times that you used to be a socialist when you were in college. What were some of the things you’ve been told or read that made you believe for a brief period of time, that such a system could work? Did it, by any chance, originate from the Marxist rantings of a disgruntled economics professor who bore a personal grudge against the so-called evils of capitalism? Or did you, at a certain point, develop any personal gripes about free market capitalism yourself? And how much effect did the presence of Cultural Marxism have on you in your educational environments?”Question 2: [24:45] – “Why have athletics, and the sports media in particular become a pulpit for the left and social justice warriors to advance their agenda? Is moral courage an accurate term to describe speaking the truth despite the social consequences? What are the possible long term risks of having the word courage and its true meaning, diluted by athletes and pundits in sports media?”Question 3: [1:17:48] – “I listened to your other videos regarding climate change and agree that there is less total pollution today, but I would like to add much higher carbon output. Do you believe that our carbon output hurts the environment?”Question 4: [2:00:48] – “Is segregation a good thing? Stefan has pointed out that the black community had lower rates of illegitimacy under Jim Crow than after the Civil Rights movement. Given the large number of blacks that feel victimized and oppressed by white society, is there not a compelling argument for returning to segregated communities? When we look around the world, do we not see that culturally homogeneous societies are more stable than peaceful ones?”Freedomain Radio is 100% funded by viewers like you.
