Darkness, the downward spiral, the sense you are drowning fighting to catch your breath before another huge wave of emotion or challenge hits you, this is the descent journey. And when all we are taught is that we are supposed to keep ascending through life, descending feels like flat out failure. But nothing could be further from the truth.
