#35 - Cat Moore - Director of Belonging, USC

Today’s guest is the Director of Belonging at USC, Cat Moore. What’s a Director of Belonging, you might ask. Cat talks about what her role entails, it’s purpose, the issues she’s facing, and how she’s helping pioneer this type of position since it didn’t exist before. Its birth came in response to a loneliness crisis, which is affecting people of all ages. She tells of her story that helped prepare her to take on this role, which didn’t come from education since there isn’t a PhD in this, but from the countless connections she made at a Starbucks over the span of a decade. This is a whole new world of education which is exciting and so important for our collective consciousness and I’m grateful to help shine some light on it.
