#35 Michaela - Model [English]

TO Podcast #34 (FULL) interview w. model Michaela about life before, during & after a model career Michaela is a 24-year old model from Pretoria, South Africa working out of Cape Town, South Africa https://www.instagram.com/michaelazzzzzz/?hl=en https://www.fanjam.co.za/fresh-faces-girls/1394749/michaela-vz https://www.thefaceparismanagement.com/model/michaela-van-zyl I met Michaela through my hospitality school. During her studies to become a part-time waitress, I heard she is about to fly out to Italy for three months to work as a model. I instantly thought 'why the hell would you continue to study to be a waitress'. She finished the course - which I probably would not have if I heard I am working internationally as a model; plus; waiters are not treated all that well in SA - and showed a resilience, desire and humility during the training. These hardworking qualities are rare not only in humans but especially younger people. When hearing she used to do MMA - mixed martial arts - I really got curious to see who the person is behind the 'plain / rebel' looking image. Our conversation almost went two hours where we talked about: 1) How she became a model 2) What to expect when you are a model 3) Her tertiary degree from TUKS in Information Science 4) Healthy lifestyle & nutrition 5) Her MMA 'career; 6) Working abroad 7) We analysed/ discussed 10 pictures from her career 8) Social Media 9) Modelling agencies 10) Being a professional model FOLLOW ME aka Talking Orangutans Podcast INSTAGRAM https://www.instagram.com/talkingorangutans/ FACEBOOK https://www.facebook.com/talkingorangutanspodcast WATCH ON YOUTUBE CHANNEL https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLWJDEk2aNGfqBYbc5InLyA LISTEN TO: STITCHER https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/anchor-podcasts/talking-orangutans-podcast APPLE PODCASTS https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/talking-orangutans-podcast/id1460575770 SPOTIFY https://open.spotify.com/show/1ysF7a3nH1A4sb5Y3JCdp5 CAST BOX https://castbox.fm/channel/Talking-Orangutans-Podcast-id2133608?country=us ANCHOR FM https://anchor.fm/talkingorangutans BREAKER https://www.breaker.audio/talking-orangutans-podcast GOOGLE PODCASTS https://podcasts.google.com/?feed=aHR0cHM6Ly9hbmNob3IuZm0vcy9hYTFmMzI0L3BvZGNhc3QvcnNz OVERCAST https://overcast.fm/itunes1460575770/talking-orangutans-podcast POCKET CASTS https://pca.st/A4J9 RADIO REPUBLIC https://radiopublic.com/talking-orangutans-podcast-6V5BnM
