35. The Eastern Gate

We love our friends on social media! This request came in from a Twitter follower and it's a totally BRAND NEW hymn for us. Could this be a new game of... Stump the Twins? You really stumped us with this one. Not only did we not know this song, but we had never heard of it nor the hymn writer. Join us this week as we dive into the Eastern Gate. What is it? Where is it? What does it symbolize? What was the hymnwriter Isaiah Guyman Martin thinking when he wrote it? Martin wrote several eschatalogical hymns and we just love talking about and singing about HEAVEN. At the end of the episode, sing along with us for a Name That Tune segment all about HEAVEN. Please let us know what heaven songs you'd like to hear in the future! Soon and Very Soon.... we'll be singing hymns at the Eastern Gate. What a WONDERFUL thing to think about! Thank you for listening and supporting Hymn Talk Twin Talk.
