35 - The God of the Word of God

The word of God. This is something that we at Ignite City Church hold to deeply. Our core beliefs statement about the Scriptures says this: We believe that the Bible, consisting of both the Old and New Testaments, is the very God-breathed inerrant word of God and is the final authority that we base our lives on. We believe the Bible, from cover to cover, is the beautiful story of the Gospel, telling us about Jesus and the life that he offers. As we walk with and abide in Jesus, through regular time spent with him reading His word, the Holy Spirit reveals his heart + will for us. Brian often tells us that we cannot know the will of God if we are not in the word of God. But there's something so much deeper to us being in God's word that has less to do with simply knowing what God wants us to do and more about who God is.  In this episode, Brian shares a couple of minutes of reminders about the Bible and then shares a spoken word by Jackie Hill about the word of God.
