35. The Legacy of Alex Haley & Roots 45 Years Later w/ Attorneys Anne & David Haley

In this episode of the Legal Lens Show we are celebrating the Birthday and Life of Nelson Mandela, as well as the work and Legacy of Alex Haley. Alex Haley is the author of the book “Roots” - one of the African-American treasures combining history and fiction, which depicts the story of Haley’s ancestors' journey from Africa to America as enslaved people, and then their rise from slavery to freedom. Joining us in the KBLA 1580 studio were Anne & David Haley, niece & nephew of Alex Haley. I am looking forward to sharing with you the insights about their uncle’s work, its impact on our communities, and how the family is carrying his legacy now.
