Her work has appeared in newspapers and outlets nationwide, including The New York Times, The Atlantic, USA TODAY, TIME and NBC News and has been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists, The New York Press Club, the Education Writers Association and The Newswomen's Club of New York, among others. In 2021, she was one of two American journalists chosen for the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma's Early Childhood Development Fellowship and during the 2023-24 academic year, she researched and reported on child care policy as a Spencer Fellow at the Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
