355: TOP 5 TITLE TRACKS
from NO ENCORE
Following last week’s emotional bombshell, Craig Fitzpatrick and Dave Hanratty commit to a difficult future by refusing to share the same physical space – that’s right, it’s a Zoom-based episode. Unavoidable logistical circumstances or something more sinister? Who can say? In any event, there’s a lot to discuss this week. We’ve got respective cinema outings. We’ve got the musical element of the Super Bowl. We’ve got Matty Healy’s mission to get cancelled by his own loyal stan-base. And we’ve got some superb music for our latest Top 5 face-off. Meanwhile, we want to hear from YOU about the future of this very show. Feel free to drop a mail to [email protected] with any and all feedback, which is very much welcome. And we’re over on patreon.com/noencore if you can support what we do. ACT ONE: It’s the preamble in which we ramble – Craig reflects on his announcement and reports back from a romantic cinema jaunt. Dave, meanwhile, had some notable big-screen experiences of his own. ACT TWO (21:24): A busy news section takes in the sad passing of De La Soul icon Trugoy The Dove, Rihanna’s date with the Super Bowl, U2’s upcoming Las Vegas-set Larry Mullen-less endeavour, and Matty Healy podcast anxiety. ACT THREE (1:01:19): Top 5 Title Tracks.
