#36 - The importance of Software with Sean Costello

from The Construction Corner · host Dillon Mitchell

Sean Costello is an associate at atelierRISTING in the process of working toward licensure as a practitioner of architecture. Sean place’s a heavy emphasis on the design process as it is the path by which most designers achieve their goals. Architecture is traditionally seen as a linear process; a solution to a problem. However, he values that it is a process of opportunity and that there is not one singular solution but multiple inclinations and when encompassed together the result is a better architecture. He also believe that as design professions we have the responsibility to best shape the environment for people to thrive and in doing so we can create more sustainable and equitable spaces. He applies these principles to the design process with an integrated approach, where ideas effectively fit together to create a holistic architecture that elicits both opportunity and innovation.
