36. Whiter Than Snow

Psalm 51:7 ... wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. We are diving into the hymn of confession this week, Whiter Than Snow, by James Nicholson and William Fischer. Inspired right from Psalm 51, this song is a beautiful prayer, a longing for cleansing and wholeness. We pray that this episode will be a blessing to you all. These hymn writers' stories make us want to visit Philadelphia. What a city! Full of history and brotherly love... AND two very special churches, Wharton Wesley and St. George's, PLUS one very special cemetery. To learn more about the Mount Moriah Cemetery, please visit their web page here and learn how you can support the Friends organization. This week, we are featuring the music of Warren G Akers. His arresting arrangement of Whiter Than Snow will stay with you. Visit his Youtube channel here to see this week's hymn and many others. His creative, original renditions of the familiar hymns are full of praise. Thank you for supporting Hymn Talk Twin Talk. If you are enjoying these episodes, please spread the word.
