Prior to becoming Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo served as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency and before that he was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Kansas's 4th district. Secretary Pompeo finished first in his class from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He left the US Army at the rank of Captain.
