We challenge the reasoning that has hindered progress in this area, drawing upon instances where reparations have been successfully implemented. We question, why hasn't America embraced a similar approach considering the devastating history of slavery? We dare to explore alternative proposals such as land allotment or even the formation of a separate nation within the US; because it's essential to remember that reparations aren't just about debts, they're about recognizing historical wrongdoings and fostering healing. In this episode, we also extend the conversation beyond African Americans and shine a spotlight on the overlooked suffering of Native Americans. Their narrative of forced relocations and unfair exchanges calls for immediate recognition and rectification. We move on to expose the terrifying realities of slavery, revealing its corporate ties and the shocking, long-lasting effects it has had on the gene pool, thanks to the systematic abuse of black women. Our hearts sink as we learn that even in recent times, only a measly 13% of the population was granted COVID relief checks. As we call for reparations, we stress on the need for knowledge—because the first step towards healing is understanding what needs to be healed.
