Det riktas misstankar mot den fd pojkvännen som bara dagar tidigare uppträtt aggressivt mot familjen. Det visar sig inte leda vidare i utredningen. Han har alibi. Hur kan Julia av ren slump hamnat i en situation som gör att hon misshandlas så illa att hon dör? På en så kort sträcka dessutom. Bevisen leder inte polisen vidare trots flertalet försök att nå ut via Efterlyst. Först åtta år senare när Skånes kalla fall-grupp bildas och tar upp fallet kommer ett genombrott. Vad har framkommit?
