37 - G20 (TEASER)

What would you get if you asked ChatGPT to write you a script combining Die Hard, White House Down, and Air Force One? G20. Wow. Where to start? This movie is a mess. But the messier the movie, the funner the review. And we have a blast tearing apart this made-for-TV Olympus Has Fallen. Viola Davis’s talents are wasted as she plays an ex-military President who gets stuck in a hostage situation with a bunch of other world leaders. With a nonsensical plot driven by the most clichéd bad guys you can imagine, we can’t help but cringe in embarrassment for everyone involved. If you want a movie where everything is recycled, every beat is predictable, and the dialogue is so bad it would make a middle-school creative writing class blush, then this film is for you. But if you would rather be entertained, listen to this episode and laugh along with us. G20 is a 2025 action thriller directed by Patricia Riggen and written by Caitlin Parrish, Erica Weiss, and Noah and Logan Miller. It stars Viola Davis, Antony Starr, Anthony Anderson, Marsai Martin, Ramón Rodríguez, and Douglas Hodge. This is an excerpt from the Patron-only episode.
