37. Kristina Coccoluto - a Breast Cancer “Previvor”

from Business Muscle

Today we welcome Kristina Coccoluto to the podcast for a Wellness Wednesday episode! Kristina is a “previvor” born with the BRCA1 mutation, leaving her with an 87% lifetime risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer and a 60% risk of being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She took her circumstances into her own hands and had a risk-reducing double mastectomy. Kristina has been raising funds and awareness for the cancer community for over a decade, and has used her story to spread awareness and become a motivational speaker to empower others. Kristina is an absolute powerhouse, and ran the Boston marathon 28 weeks after having her second surgery, a complete hysterectomy. This conversation is an absolute inspiration.
