Because I didn't stop drinking as a result of addiction, I didn't hit rock bottom and then claw my way out; I'm not an alcoholic, and I never joined a program. I just decided that alcohol wasn't the right choice for me, and that made me feel like my choice wasn't worth sharing as much as others. But I was wrong.
