Have you ever had a song stuck in your head, repeating itself over and over, for reasons you can't quite explain? This week, the chorus of "God Is In This Story," by Big Daddy Weave and Katy Nicole, has been echoing in my mind. The words grab hold: "God is in this story, God is in the details; Even in the broken parts, He holds my heart, He never fails." It continues: "When I'm at my weakest, I will trust in Jesus; Always in the highs and lows, The One who goes before me, God is in this story." How often do you think about where God shows up in your life? Maybe you've witnessed Him in the big moments—the answered prayers, the seemingly impossible breakthroughs. Or maybe, like many of us, you haven't thought much about it at all. Perhaps the thought hasn't even crossed your mind. Here's the truth: God desires more than just moments of crisis or church attendance. He longs to be part of your everyday. Yet somehow, we put Him on a shelf—conveniently only pulling Him down during earth-shattering crises or sacred routines. The K.I.S.S. ~ God is in this story! But what if God was woven into every moment of your life? What if you invited Him to have a front row seat alongside you through the mundane, the joyful, the painful, and the triumphs? The story wouldn't change—the challenges wouldn't disappear—but your experience would. You would have the peace that passes all understanding because of His presence. As the apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." God is in every detail, every broken moment, every mountain and valley. He never fails. You get to decide how much of Him you want in your story. His door is always wide open. The question is: how open is your heart? Let Him in. This story is yours and His together.
