/// LAURENT CI /// orn in San Benedetto del Tronto in 1990 and graduated in Economics, Laurent Ci approaches the world of music during childhood when he got his first guitar as a present at the age of nine. Later on, he becomes fond of the world of DJ’ing, after hanging out at some clubs in the area nearby his town. He starts mixing vinyl records at the early age of fifteen and, over the years, he manages to find his spot in clubs in his town and out-of-town, such as Sugo, Lily White, Americo Village, Fiko D’India, Ultraviolet (VIP area) etc. Currently, he is a member of the op:um group and accordingly he mixed his music in clubs such as Club Der Visionaere (Berlin), Paradox (Egg, London), The Arches (London), Kontiki, Club 45, 45.com, Downstair, Mathilda Club, Sugar Disco Club, Container, Classic Club, La Terrazza, Geko Club sharing the mixer with international artists, for instance Mayaan Nidam, Amirali, Fernando Costantini, Giammarco Orsini, Laura Jones, Giorgia Angiuli, Reelow, Sonartek, Flavio Vecchi, Manuel de Lorenzi, Ricky Montanari, Massimino Lippoli, Ivan Iacobucci, Silvie Loto, Andrea Ferlin, Topper, Francesco Assenza, Daniele Baldelli, Claudio Di Rocco etc. He performs at the “Amore 15 Festival” after winning the “Amore Talents” contest, held by the “Amore Festival” organization. His DJ set are performed in an analogic mode, using vinyl records and CDs. The range of music included in his DJ set is accurately chosen following both nowadays’ developments and old-school tracks. His music is featured with melodic grooves, voice lines, break influences, and acid sounds which lead to a peculiar genre that stands between tech music and deep house.
