#38 Luke Keaney // Donegal GAA, Hip surgery, Training load, Retirement and more

from The Sideline Live Podcast · host The Sideline Live

On Episode 38 I am delighted to be joined by former Donegal Senior footballer Luke Keaney. Luke unfortunately had to retire at age 24 from any level of GAA due to complications in his hips as a result due to over training and poor load management. As a result he had a number of major hip surgeries including two hip replacements. Luke is a fantastic advocate for players and has been selected on a panel as part of the FIFA 2022 Medical conference Luke has now taken up a career in rowing where has been recently selected to represent Ireland in the sprint beach relay this September.
