Dulce Alvarez had a dream to get her daughter into a top school which meant preparing her for the her 11 plus exams. However, after outsourcing the teaching to a tutor, this quickly became evident that it wasn't going to get their daughter the results she needed, so she took the job on herself. But Dulce was already working 12 hour shifts in her high paced career in the financial services and realised that she couldn't have it all when her health started to suffer because of it. She was sacrificing a lot to help her daughter. As a non native English speaker vocabulary was the primary challenge .This lack of native-speaker advantage resulted in gaps in their child's vocabulary, which was highlighted by the tutors, such as not knowing the word "toboggan".This is a real story of how Dulce turned a real pain into her passion.
