38 The Disneyland Dad! How To Deal

Ever heard of the term "disneyland dad"? It is so common there are legal definitions of it. We've all heard of it and many of us experience some form of it in our lives even if we aren't divorced, right?! There's the disneyland dad, the disneyland mom, the disneyland grandma, the disneyland aunt. It occurs when one parent or relative completely spoils our child/children, showers them with gifts or whatnot, has their own sets of rules for them and then we are the ones left with the kids when the party's over, so to speak. This phenomenon is especially difficult in high conflict divorce situations, when trying our best to offer our children the consistency they need as they go from home to home. So, what can be done?
