Welcome to The Sif Spoil. We're going to check out hanging friends, romances, jokes, easter eggs, cameos, death, resurrections, and post-credits sequences. They all die. From Shazam, Fury of the Gods. We don't have a ton to talk about, but I did want to kind of at least elucidate you on the ending and kind of how baffling it is to me. So, first of all, this part I don't have as much trouble with, but after the competition happens, Shazam is dead.

Did you see that Shazam was dead? Yeah. Okay, so Shazam is dead. Like dead dead. Shazam died. Shazam's dead. He's dead. He's staying dead, right? No, he's not staying dead. He's not staying dead. He's not staying dead. But they bury him. They literally bury him. And then somebody says something along the lines of, you know, but he's a god. You know, and can't gods be brought back to life? And somebody else is only by another god and there are no more gods that walk among us. Cue Wonder Woman's music.

And then Wonder Woman walks in and brings Zachary Levi back to life. Is it actually Gal Gadot? Yes, it's actually Gal Gadot. And he does the thriller hand and it comes out of the ground and turns them all out. And he's like, you buried me? And anyways, they're like, yeah, you did. Man, that would have been fun to see. And then he shoots his shot with Wonder Woman. And then the parents are like, what is it with our kids and older women? Yeah. And she turns him down nicely. I don't have as much problem with that. I think that's kind of fun. That's, you know.

sure wonder woman you know coming in or whatever that's that doesn't confuse me i get it you know and honestly if we go back in time it should have been henry cavill in the first one and everybody wanted that to happen it just couldn't happen for you know particular reasons yeah um but uh but anyhow so that's how the movie ends and then there's post credit scenes so then there's two post credit scenes the first of which are two of the characters from peacemaker coming up john cena no not john cena two of the other i mean i could look up the actors names but it's two of the the crew like the peacemaker crew is it they're pretty like hispanic lady and then the really tall big guy It's the really tall, big guy. I don't know about the others. I guarantee it's Harcourt and Economist.

OK, so they come up, they find Zachary Levi as Shazam and they're like, hey, we want to offer you a place in the justice. And he immediately said, yes, yes, I've been waiting for this, you know, blah, blah, blah, blah. And they're like, society, justice society. We wanted to offer you a place. And he's like, justice society. Is that the same thing as Justice League? And then they have a Justice League, Justice Society conversation. And he's like, don't you think that's a little bit of a little bit confusing to have two groups, both with justice? You could just go to like the thesaurus and just, you know, check out synonyms for justice. You could call it such and such a league. And then the last one he says is you call it the Avengers League. Oh, I like that one. You know, whatever. Anyways, just being dumb.

So that comes to a close. And then the final one is another, what's the worm? The smart worms. Oh, Mr. Mind. Mr. Mind. I thought he was going to make an appearance in this movie. Well, he's voiced by the director, David Sandberg, which is always hilarious to me. But he finds his way to, I think, the villain from the first one. And he was like, what took you so long? He's like, I'm a worm. It takes me long to get anywhere. And then anyway, something like, well, we have to do this first. And the worm's like, okay, I'll be right back. And then he just watches him slowly walk away. So that's the same way. Was it Mark Strong again? Yes, I think it was Mark Strong again.

That first one, I'm so baffled by because what are we doing? You've already announced that you're resetting the whole thing, right? Yeah. So why are you teasing Shazam being in the Justice Society, Justice League, whatever you want to call it, when you have no intention of doing any of that and you don't need this in the post-credits? It doesn't apply to them. You could have just cut it out.

I get really confused. I think what it is, it's probably publicity for season two of Peacemaker coming out, just to remind you that that franchise is still alive. And that's worth it for them? Just to have the publicity? I don't know, man. I'm not a marketer. I don't know. That was really, really confusing. I can understand how that's like...

Yeah, the whole why, if you're going to be resetting everything. The only thing I can think of is maybe the answers will be given to us in the Flash movie. Maybe. Maybe in Flash, maybe Zachary Levi will be in there in the Justice Society at one point or something. Then fine. Then I guess I understand a little bit more. But it was just a weird thing. Are you hearing early reviews for the Flash? Apparently. Everybody loves it. It's apparently really good. Which gets me excited and nervous at the same time and upset.

Because we can't have nice things. Why can't we have nice things? I didn't miss too terribly much then. No, no, no. You just missed all the winks and nods and that kind of stuff. I am bummed I missed the Wonder Woman thing. That sounded like it would have been fun to watch. Yeah. Yeah, it was. Did you have anything else you want to talk about since we opened it up for spoilers? Was there anything else worth chatting about from Shazam? I'm trying to think. No, I mean, like, no. No, I don't think so either. Yeah.

All right. Well, there you go. Thanks for listening to this very, very short. We appreciate you guys. We'll catch you next time. We need to ruin something for you. Yep. Bye.
