Luke 10:1–4, 17–20 In this week’s episode Jesus sends out 72 followers to share the good news. When they return, they are amazed — even the demons obeyed in Jesus’ name! But Jesus teaches them something even greater: “Do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Jesus sent out 72 workers to prepare the way and tell people that God’s kingdom had come. The disciples were amazed by the power they saw, like superheroes in real life. Jesus reminded them that the greatest joy isn’t power — it’s knowing that our names are written in heaven.
