Casey's love for the sport started in the small town of Carthage, New York and from there Casey went on to be a 4 time All American at Syracuse University. While at Syracuse Casey won a national championship and was the recipient of 2 NCAA Division 1 Most Outstanding Player awards. Since his college career, he's continued his success, ranking first in MLL history in points and  won the league's MVP award at the age of 38 in 2014. Powell is also the only American-born player to ever be named the NLL MVP. He's also gone on to lead a lacrosse non-profit organization, The Casey Powell World Lacrosse Foundation, which supports lacrosse players, coaches, organizers and enthusiasts from across the globe to preserve its powerful and unique culture, while also growing the game.
